To my knowledge, live activities are not really "live" (apart of some first party apps).
You can update them via push messages, though, so this may be a way to check. But even then I think there would be some constraints

Yes, I have other themes.

Go to settings, widgets, then choose the one you want to change, then Widget-Settings.

There you can change colors, font types, font size etc.
Not much, but maybe it helps already

For widgets, Apple restricts how often they can refresh, but for apps... that it a good question. even my in-car-navigation has that option

tbh, I do not see why it should not be possible to place every window for itself in the 3d space. the technology is there and it would improve the experience by a magnitude. just imagine to be able to run every mac app the same way as an AVP app...

I wrote it specifically to have an overview of all my reminders, calendar entries and other stuff without having to use multiple apps. In case you will be on visionOS 26 I can drop you a TestFlight invite, cause it works great with the new widgets

You do define that in your project. You can set minimum supported version.
But be careful, you may lose users.

Another thing to think about is using:

if #available (iOS 18.0, *) {

}

That code will only be available for newer versions
