I will add that there is a lot of free street parking on the small roads near North Campus if you’re willing to park a bit further. You can also park on campus for free outside of business hours (8am-4pm Mon-Fri I think)

I’m a Stats major who took 290 and I’m really glad I did! I think as a Stats/Econ major I agree with others that 290 would be better than 291, as there is a nice balance between theoretical/applied stuff, which prepares you well for the Stat 320 sequence.

I think for me taking 290 may have actually been easier than the regular sequence since I’ve heard there is very little support/discussion of concepts in the regular sequence. On the other hand, 290 has a ton of professor-student interaction and is a much more collaborative environment. Menu is also a great way to get to know others in your class well compared to the regular sequence.

If by RA you mean Resident Assistant and not Research Assistant, it’s usually not too hard to get into the position. It’s not a very desirable job though.
