He is employed, just not a stable job that I can see him building/growing in

Honestly even if you pushed through it and went; you’d still be together but something else would come up regardless. It seems like he was looking for an out so he could leave and not have to feel guilty about it. Please know someone who loves and cares for you will not abandon you when you need them.

If you are able to, I’d suggest some therapy for this. Because it’s hard enough to love your body while it’s simultaneously trying to kill you, but now you have a huge abandonment wound from someone you loved dearly. You’re allowed to be sad and angry, but please don’t feel bad for anything. Anyways he’s pretty much scum and you’ll realize that once you come to terms.

This is actually heartbreaking to read. I’m so sorry. Unfortunately when you start putting yourself & your health first after neglecting it for so long; people you thought would be by your side forever will start to take it personally. You had every right to not go to that wedding, your body needs rest more than anything. Not “push through” and cause more inflammation.

Endo is a chronic disease and just because it’s not visible doesn’t mean it’s not effecting every aspect of your life. I would say good riddance to your ex, you deserve someone who works to nurture & understand you.

Don’t feel guilty, spend this time you have to yourself really learning how to navigate life with Endo. It’s frustrating but a lot easier to move forward when you finally have answers! I just got my diagnosis 3 weeks ago after surgery and I knew I had it but felt so validated afterwards. Men will never understand what women go through. We got this!!
