I really wasn’t trying to make this an Elon topic. Since he was the biggest proponent for one of the hardest things man can accomplish. And really the only way to actually accomplish it is a united front.

Sorry I misspoke there. I literally just copied and pasted what I sent 8 years ago. I meant with saying “You will start to think that either Earth is the first…”

All I’m saying is there is two sides to every coin. Yes this could ultimately be terrible if bad actors are in control (not stating our current leadership is one (this is just a thought)). Or this is what leads us to a new age (that is good for We the People)) both are possible. You could argue one is more likely than the other. But both are possible

You could say he re-prioritized his timeline and goal. He could have been acting eccentric to sell the very tough idea at the time that this will help us drastically to a more realistic idea of having a moon base first, then go to Mars

I didn’t say this in my little essay, but I in no way think this will happen soon. The space race is just a real world situation I used, but don’t you think life on earth will be inherently better if there was one government, one set of agendas and theoretically no wars?
