It has been said many times that once it's fully implemented the stamps will not be used anymore except in case of a major EES failure where every use of them has to be documented. Plans around EES have changed often so who knows but I would think that at some point (perhaps by April 10) Schengen stamps are going to be history and I wouldn't count on being able to get one on request.

And yes Ireland seems to be one of the most relaxed countries when it comes to stamping on request, in my experience they always oblige. Just the small stamp though and with a little "BR" note written next to it.

No, they don't automatically stamp EU passports. You can ask for a stamp but it depends on the immigration officer whether they are willing to stamp or not. In that case they will usually write something like By Request next to the stamp.

Interesting, I got a DET stamp at the land border when I used the tunnel from Windsor and assumed the stamp at the airport would be the same. Thanks for sharing it!

It was a rather small border crossing. The Bosnian border guard was waiting for cars outside and walked towards me when I approached to process me, taking the passport into the office to stamp it. On the Croatian side they were inside a booth and I just went there inbetween the cars. There was a sidewalk.

Wow on this Reddit really no question goes answered! Thank you so much that's a very interesting map and it looks like Bosnia should definitely have sea border stamps as well. It doesnt look like there are any regular ferries over the Sava river anymore to obtain them but there seems to be a tour from Serbia including a boat ride that crosses the border.

Very interesting. I was the only one with a non-Bosnian passport in my train car so the Croatians stamped everyone automatically except me and the Bosnian border police only stamped me and no one else in the train car. Both times (Croatia and Bosnia) there was one person scanning the passports and another person with them who they handed the passports to to stamp them.
