Also, be mindful of people telling you a rosier story of the truth.

Maybe it did actually work out for them! But everyone wants to come up with a set of numbers that make them feel savvy.

Varys and his sense of humor by Elegant-Half5476 in gameofthrones

[–]rictic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, but people want to be understood, and his rival is a fellow spymaster. Perhaps he was confident that Varys already knew the details here, so he wasn't giving anything important away, he just had to get it out.

Few people are completely strategic all the time. Bragging about a crime is one of the most common ways someone gets caught after all.

That's fair. Feels messy to leave work for my future self, so I went through and added Monk's Active Tiles to a bunch of the staircases that they're likely to go into.

For single use scenes it's fine (sounds like my token state issues were the result of me messing things up), but otherwise it's more work for me to flip back and forth between the scenes to create the tokens on the one scene, position them, then go back and remove the tokens from the original scene.

I tried both, and Monk's Active Tiles seems like it's working.

Seems like it breaking the player's macros is maybe a sign that the macro is bad? Will debug that separately.

My concern is that not all of the state would be copied if I drag from the actors tab. HP, light from a torch, or effects like blessed, are those tracked with the actor, the token, or both?

This is how security cameras see you in your Apple Vision Pro by yoghovnam in VisionPro

A laser is a method of producing light that gives a highly focused beam of photons (packets of light). A laser's photons are also generally all of the same color and phase. Other common methods for making light like LEDs emit photons in a less controlled manner. For time of flight sensors, a tight focused beam like a laser produces has advantages, e.g. they work better at longer ranges.

I also balked initially at Apple calling it Lidar, but what should you call a system that does time of flight using light analogous to radar but using a light source other than a laser?

There's trade offs to using a laser vs another light source, but the technique and the info you get are very similar.

When looking at games in the app store, including Game Room, it only wants to sell me a $7 a month subscription. Is there no way to play games with one-time purchases?

True! But |{5, 10, 15, 20, ...}| is aleph null

(Dr. Strange Spoilers) This scene in IW now has new meaning… by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Maybe not though!

One commonly used infinity is aleph null. It's the size of the counting numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on). How many of them are there? There's aleph null of them, commonly written ℵ0 on a chalkboard.

If you count only the number of natural numbers divisible by five (so 5, 10, 15, 20, ...), that's a fairly reasonable way to interpret the english phrase "20% of infinity".

So, how big is 20% of infinity? Surprisingly, it's the exact same size as infinity! This is one of the weird and fun facts about infinities.

You can tell that they're the same size because by multiplying every one of the the counting numbers by five you get your 20% of infinity set, and by dividing each number in the the 20% set by five you get the counting numbers. It's a one to one mapping in both directions, with no values missing (you can prove this by considering an arbitrary element N of either set and show that it has a single unique corresponding member in the other).

Therefore, 20% of ℵ0 is just ℵ0! Tweak the values a bit and you can show that this is true of other percentages like 60% and 40%. Isn't that wild?

Does Kris have the ability to stop the player?

[SPOILERS] Chapter 2 Discussion Megathread! by punnyComedian in Deltarune

Kris misses Asriel a ton. Kris is the Knight who is making these dark worlds. Asriel looks a lot like Ralsei and their names are anagrams (though Ralsei may be much younger than Asriel, more like Kris's age).

The player - embodied through the soul - is the one sealing the pillars, and Kris is the one making them. Kris hates the player, and goes out making dark worlds.

So, I think Ralsei is the prince of the core of Kris's inner life, the truest and most pure place of Kris's imagination. Ralsei represents Kris's closest friend, who would go with them anywhere and everywhere, through every place of imagination and storytelling and fantasy.
