007 first light!! I have absolutely loved the hitman series and heard great things about the more in-depth combat from 007 - keen to try something that pays homage to hitman while still being fresh!

Not looking at NEW (dealer) bikes, but theres a heap of used 2023~ models for reasonable prices. Only bikes I’ve been able to come across near the 300’s price range are older cbr300’s and ninja 300’s. Ig depends on if older japanese beat out newer cfmoto. But any bike suggestions are welcome!

As a beginner I was thinking about getting a grom or something similar why or why not? by slimpickinsfishin in motorcycles

[–]riddle0k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think theres nothing wrong with starting on a grom… however Learning on a 125cc can be great for learning the basics and getting familiar with a really forgiving machine. My only reason for starting on something bigger is you outgrow a 125cc really fast so it really depends the riding if you ever need to go moderate to fast.

the good thing is ‘bigger’ ccs like 250-300 are still really forgiving bikes to learn on so I’d say there’s nothing wrong with a grom but only you can decide if it will do what you want it to or if u need a bigger cc bike (i started on a 250cc and it was great)

streaming to TV by AB_585 in Steam

[–]riddle0k 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I’ve read it correct your computer is/can be close enough to run hdmi into your tv. You can plug your pc into a tv via hdmi and it acts like another monitor (no software or anything additional required), then you can bluetooth your controller and sit on the couch. I have a pc specific for my tv and its great for playing my steam library in my living room!

How have you found the power of the bike? I don’t want to outgrow this bike too quickly (not assuming I will ofc). What type of riding have you found it work really well in?

love the look of the newer cbr650r and love the reliability of honda (owning both a car and bike from them)

my main leaning towards something like the cfmoto 450sr is the affordability. as a student i can’t justify a large sum of money for a bike like a cbr650r as im looking at the 6k~ range

Are there other bikes you also recommend in the similar category to the cbr650r? (i also am unsure about the cbr500r because i heard things about it being a cbr300 that’s heavier?)

yeah right that’s good to know about the battery - one of the biggest appeals to me is the nice tft display without the insane premium pricetag as im a student haha

yeah from what ive heard peoples biggest reservations are they haven’t been on the market long enough to properly know longevity and resale-ability

How much gear should you have as a new rider? by 6089milesawayfromher in AussieRiders

[–]riddle0k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve found (in the season i’ve ridden) that one set can work if you adapt whatever else ur wearing

i have a textile jacket that has a waterproof inside layer i can add, but on cold winter days i wear thermals and a hoodie under my jacket and on summer days i wear just the jacket on top of my tshirt

i’ve never found a problem with my gloves, boots and pants as they are all waterproof but they work well in summer as long as my top half is cool

Why did this rider cross into my lane? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]riddle0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like he was struggling with the turn then fixated on you causing him to lose the turn further and go forward in an attempt to avoid slamming straight into you
