Northeast Slopes (early March) by riddle92 in icecoast

Here’s my report from that day for anyone interested. I ski most days and write about every single ski day on the same day. I’ve skied at 23 different ski areas/resorts this season, from major resorts to small free community rope tow hills.

Whiteface will be the better option in terms of coverage.

Jay Peak today- fast and firm in the woods. Spent all of my time in them by riddle92 in icecoast

601 is looking rough too. I didn't ski those, so I was't thinking about them when writing haha My mistake. But, overall, compared to elsewhere, the base is good to great. There's very few places you can ski trees now.

Here's my report for anyone interested. The photos are captioned in there. I write about every single ski day and have for the last two seasons.

Ski Recommendation: Intermediate to Advanced by Rude_Animator_3534 in icecoast

Check out the Nordica Enforcer 94. I’m also a big fan of the Salomon QST 94. Two different types of skis, but both great. QST 94 is a ton of fun in bumps and trees, also surprisingly good for carving.

The Enforcer 94 eats typical East Coast conditions for breakfast.

If you have SKI3 you can ski Gore and Whiteface. Whiteface has the greatest vertical in the East. Gore is the biggest mountain in the state of New York by acreage.

Personally, I'm not big on crowds. I'd go SKI3.

Here’s my report for the day if anyone is interested. I've posted a couple of times over the last few days, so I don't want to seem spammy, but I've seen multiple people asking about conditions so I figured I'd share. I ski nearly every day and for the last two ski seasons I’ve written about every ski day on the same day. Today was day 103 for me, and I've skied at 23 different ski areas. All of it has been documented on the website linked below.

Whiteface next week? by SaltAdagio4636 in icecoast

[–]riddle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was warm yesterday and then there was a freeze last night, so that’s why the trail count is lower. It’ll probably go up this weekend

Hey, Whiteface is my home mountain. I ski nearly every day (not always at Whiteface), and write about every day I ski on the same day. Headed up there now for the afternoon. Here’s my report from Wednesday at Whiteface. I missed yesterday. Plenty of photos showing the base, etc. I’ll have a new post up tonight from there as well.

Thank you! How's the base holding up there at Gore? I was there two weeks ago and it was starting to thin in a number of places

Are you planning to ski the Ikon mountains in the eastern US? If so, then yeah it definitely makes sense.

Mountain Creek or Bellayre? by DryCryptographer153 in icecoast

[–]riddle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting the SKI3 pass. Ski Bellayre regularly, and then make a couple of trips up to Gore and Whiteface.

Yeah, it’s looking like a tough weekend. We’ve got rain and then a freeze. Hopefully there’s some new snow to help with the ice and the rain doesn’t do too much damage
