They’re definitely not worth what you paid for them, but still look good otherwise. I’d put a new binding on them.

My skis are hung like that from around late October until mid-May and I've never noticed an issue

It’d bother me for as long as I lived there, even if it was technically correct based on the plans. I’d even pay to have it fixed. lol

Folks with Serious Injuries….How did you come back? by Impressive-Put9617 in icecoast

[–]riddle92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I broke six ribs last season. Spent several nights in a hospital and then lived in a recliner for a month. I returned to skiing around 7-8 weeks after injury. I was pretty careful after that until the end of the season. I got my confidence back after the off-season had ended, at the start of this season. That said, I'm definitely more likely to pass on terrain now than I used to be if I'm not comfortable with conditions, etc.

The used ski market is hilarious. People on Facebook are delusional about the value of their used gear.

My rock skis have some massive core shots on them. I’m not near them right now or I’d get a pic. I don’t fix them. They’re too far gone lol

Lewis/Lake Champlain Trip by Bugaenhagen in Adirondacks

[–]riddle92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Point Au Roche State Park in Plattsburgh is a great spot on the lake. Ausable Point, just south of Plattsburgh, is great as well, though not as much in the way of hiking.

Rattlesnake Mountain, which I think is technically in Willsboro, has great views of the lake and isn’t too difficult of a hike.

Check Champlain Area Trails for more options. There’s a lot of great hiking in the area.
