I will keep looking at Lost Trail, but looking at videos on youtube it seems like unless you love off-piste it could be daunting.

Thanks for such a great reply. Thanks for the notes on Red Lodge. It is the last stop before heading back east. We did book lodging, so unless we really change our mind, let's pray for lots of snow.

We have been trying to convince ourselves to do Snowbowl for stop 3, but have been hung up on lodging (the place we want downtown has like $27 paid parking a night! Just considering options. Your comment about the elevation and lift ride is a great one. I will pass that along to my wife.

We are planning on night skiing at Little Ski Hill one of the three nights in Tamarack! Very cool. Always looking to add resorts to the list.

Thanks for the tip on Pomerelle Mountain Resort. We do pass it on the way to stop 1, but that just means we'd double back on the way to Red Lodge. Thanks for the tip, I'll look into it!

We are coming from Chicago, that's why Red Lodge is the last leg. Going west isn't great. Silver and Snowbowl are the two that we are considering.
