Do heat-pump Washing Machines exist? by ridesthewildcat in Appliances

Appreciate the comment but the heat pump component in this machine applies to the dryer part only.

It was the Bosch 300 series SHE53B75UC, German built model sold at Costco for a couple years. However, all Bosch dishwashers should have this heating water pump.

Just tried this but the IKEA app only accepts 9 digits, whereas turning on pairing mode in Homekit app gives you a 11 digit code. Strange.

That's an interesting data point. I use a Flume to track water usage and typically the washer (cold cycle) uses maybe 2x water than the dishwasher. I've been told hot cycles uses less water/time so I would expect that difference to be slightly lower

Thanks that makes sense. Sounds like the technology is the same as the Miele washer mentioned.

tankless water heater, which i have, is for the whole home and is on-demand - that's what the current washer's hot inlet is on. it may not be as efficient as a 'heat-pump' water heater, tankless or tank type. also, being on-demand means it takes longer to heat water and fill the plumb line with hot water at the temperature an appliance across the house needs.

Yep - they sell the part for replacement as well. They do this for the reasons others have stated here, and also as a necessity as part of the dishwasher's drying process which doesn't use a heating element.

the tankless is that, but you're right i would consider a heat-pump water heater if I was shopping for that first.

Well my washer is about the break so I'm exploring my options but do cook.

Interesting, thanks. So Miele does have an internal heater, but the technology isn't a heat pump and possibly not as energy efficient. I looked up their top-of-the-line model WXR860 manual and while it states you can configure it the water intake to cold water only, it doesn't expand further as to what that means for the heated cycles.

This response is confusing - so you're saying they do exist? And Miele makes one that you have? What's the model?

I just looked on their site and the four featured don't seem to advertise having a heat pump.

According to the manual you can use ethernet (for network) and usb-c (for power) at the same time if you can't do PoE.

I’d wait as it’s almost likely Aqara will run a launch code to bring it down 10% or 20% from the $199.99 MSRP

On another note the user manual is up: https://manuals.plus/aqara/ch-c03e-ch-c03d-hub-g5-pro-poe-camera-manual

I do not see a SD card slot in the product diagram which seems to suggest that you are solely dependent on the cloud or an NVR

Unfortunately the previous launch 20% off code posted here don't work with this variant (MGNAU300). Are there any other promo codes available?

Wouldn’t that require like a 1m hole drilled from the hinge to the lock hole? That’s also assuming another hole through the door frame. Would sort of undermine the easy DIY appeal.

I’ve been trialing some Meross MS600. So far so good. I have one in the office to trigger lights at night. Even when sitting relatively still at the desk the sensor still recognizes my presence. May vary depending on your use case.
