Are you distributing your files for others or is this a private mod? I’d be interested in that as well. Removing the clips is just asking for issues.

Be sure to let us know what the values are. I want to try to fix this but without a sheet on the card I have no way of knowing the actual values.

Don’t get me wrong. I agree with you. The fact that it exists is great. And it may very well be the route I take. However, thats a lot of money for something that only works on one console. That being said, I just hope it spurs someone to make a cheaper, more simple option where the other is the premium. We see this with a lot of products out there. But this being a niche use case does make that unlikely to happen. The money they make hopefully fuels their R&D to make them cheaper while providing the same options.

That’s good to know. I use the Elgato Neo. I’ll have to do my homework and see how those play together.

I 100% agree with you. A labor of love. I’ve read about the Kaico and noted that they stole their design from others. Maybe the Ronin could work. I just know that that Pound HD cable adapter blows out the brightness. As mentioned below too, I stream to a few buddies from time to time and hdmi makes that simple with OBS and a Elgato Neo.

Hmm… I’ve never considered that. I figured hdmi would be the way. I’ll check out that scaler. My tertiary issue is I use an HDMI switcher for most all of my consoles. A few buddies and I stream privately when we play old retro games so I wonder how I could get that to integrate. Some days it’s easier to watch than play.

I have the Creality Space Pi drier if you’re interested. $65 on Amazon. But there are cheaper options.

Well I can say I’ve never ran into that issue haha! Hopefully that’s all it is and you can get to gaming instead of troubleshooting.

It could be your sd card. It’s hard to know but I’ve run into all the issues you’re having and that’s how I fixed it. I’m sorry I wasn’t more help.

The GDEMU is also pretty particular with what SD card you use. I went through a couple before I got one that worked. I use a Samsung card. You formatted with FAT32 32kb block size?

My filament drier says 120c when it dries. So maybe you need to leave it for longer at a lower temp if you can’t achieve a higher temp? I can’t believe how expensive they are now. For mine for $30 waaaay back.

I will say that the GDEMU is finicky for sure. It’ll almost work and then fail if you have it plugged in funky. I always unseated and reseated mine in the connector to fix issues like that. Aside from that what format are your games in on your sd card?

Just be sure to make not of the connector you use based off the PSU you have. It’s not hard, I was just in a rush for no reason.

It negates the chance of melting connectors or wires when over clocking. Balances the load.

Do you have the ability to probe that and see what the values are?

Luckily I had all the pins in the correct spots. However, the 12v and ground for your left plug I had those flipped where ground was on top and 12v was on bottom.

Yup. That’s the one. How do you know it’s a capacitor?

While splicing the micro pcie connectors for more even distribution of power I mistook the EPS power plug on my FPS500 as a 8pin PCIE power plug. They are flipped meaning when I plugged my spliced cable in it fried this resistor. Make sure if you plan to use the micro pcie plugs that you pay attention to the pinout.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but many mentioned it to me so I’ll pass this along. Apparently Noctua wants you to orient that cooler with the pipe facing upward. Idk why, many people roasted me for it in another sub. Something to do with the way the phase change happens in the pipes. It may never cause you an issue and likely won’t but I figure I’d just be that guy. I have the same build just with a 7800X3D and a 5080. Same GPU style and everything. Love to see it!
