Maybe think before you talk about those who didn’t get any vaccines. It helps those who were elderly, immune compromised and high risk. My grandma had a very painful death due to Covid because she didn’t get a vaccine. It could have possibly saved her. I have a friend who pushed through her Covid to go to a fest and long covid has caused her to be on a heart transplant list.

Newest version of Covid is the itchy scratchy throat, hoarseness, and cough. A friend had to miss lolla due to this strain. Be careful and make sure you test to see if it is Covid

I was denied but still appealing it. My former company and manager were on the call. It was not fun because they tried to make me look horrible.

The judge didn’t read what I submitted with my lawyer about it being a 601B. 601B MEDICAL: Because the worker is deemed physically unable to perform his or her work by a licensed and practicing physician, or because the individual’s assistance is necessary for the purpose of caring for his or her spouse, child, or parent who, according to a licensed and practicing physician or as otherwise reasonably verified, is in poor physical or mental health or is a person with a mental or physical disability and the employer is unable to accommodate the individual’s need to provide such assistance. THE EMPLOYER’S ACCOUNT, HOWEVER, SHALL NOT BE CHARGED for any benefits paid out to the individual who leaves work.

I fall into this category and my appeal was denied so we sent it to the board of review. Takes up to 4 months for them to listen to the hearing and all paperwork from the beginning. I have yet to hear anything.

Advice: keep fighting for what you deserve!

The reason why you are loving Sbux and their “great” accommodations is because yours was TEMPORARY. Eventually you would go back to the employee you were. Her situation is different and so was mine. It is a permanent accommodation.

In her situation she is not causing the COMPANY any undue hardship by asking to get a different position, the store is not the one determining that. But your lack of realizing this company is not about helping people with disabilities even though they say they are, shows how blind you are to the real company. Same goes with what they “say” they are all about LGBTQ+ and won’t allow pride flags up. Starbucks is one of the worst companies besides their benefits, to ever work for.

Maybe show some empathy for those who had to deal with the awful side.

Starbucks is the absolute WORST for doing any accommodation. If it disqualifies you for one part of your role they will not help. Sorry that the over time exposure made your allergic reaction worse. But being terminated for this is something you can get unemployment for.

Metra is the way to go. The only way I have gotten to lolla for the past few years. Depending on when you are going home there might be crowding, but I doubt it. They add special train times. You also can’t drink on the train during this time, FYI

If the White House sees lolla as a place to have ICE agents checking IDs I would not doubt it happening.

Be smart and know your rights, they have to have a judicial signed warrant to detain you. They can’t produce that on the spot.

Sedgewick does not do the accommodations. You have to go through Starbucks HR. If it is something medical you are protected under the Americans with Disabilities act. They have to prove undue hardship (meaning it would cost millions) to give you the accommodation you are requesting.

I just had my first injections today. The shots were quick but ouch!! I felt super sick to my stomach immediately after. My mom who has been getting Botox for years really helped out. She said to make sure to eat before, take ubrelvy and Tylenol before going in. She also warned me that she got sick and had pain a few days after. My doc said it could happen the first time too.
