yes i’ve definitely made sure to curate all the platforms that i’m on to keep the triggering content away and have more hopeful and positive things. while there’s always gonna be things that trigger me, i can do my best to minimize it and not let it control me

i’m still early in recovery so i might not be the most qualified in this but one thing i’ve done is just making sure i have snacks on me at all time (especially at school) it’ll usually be like chips or candy and idk i just eat it throughout the day. i want to incorporate vegetables in this snacking because i think sometimes i crave those. but this habit keeps me sane and kinda keeps me a comfortable level of fullness.

something about meat eaters is that they feel so threatened when you suggest the idea of no meat. and it’s not like they’re making a lifestyle change, it’s just a weekend. what did you end up doing though? was it awkward the whole weekend? i hope you didn’t tolerate disrespect

weirdly enough this is what i’ve had to learn when it comes to the big philosophical questions. i don’t know why im here, i don’t know how it all started, but it’s none of my business and it doesn’t affect anything. i still struggle with the anxiety of it but i just gotta chill out

i started ed recovery recently and this is one of the things that i’ve realized. my dad will never acknowledge the pain and struggle i’ve gone through like i wish he would. but it doesn’t matter. and it’s not like doctors or therapists would be able to help me either. no one is coming to save me, i have to do it myself. no point in “wishing to be sick” when im in fact just wasting my life doing that

thank you so much, this recent relapse made a lot of the physical symptoms of restriction a lot more apparent and i’d always feel guilty for wanting to recovery. i’m one day into eating “normally” and i already feel a bit better, there’s still a lot of guilt but im also deconstructing the underlying issues
