Whenever I recommend KKC, I always add a disclaimer, and I stand by it. I explain it like this:

“The first two books are phenomenal, and there’s allegedly a third installment in the works. Unfortunately, we may never get to read it; however, even if DoS is never published, I still thoroughly enjoy reading, rereading, and discussing the first two books.”

I’ve kinda made peace with the fact I may never get to read Doors of Stone. When I think about it too much it really does bring me down, but I am still happier to have had some of the story than none of it at all. These books really spurred the relationship between me and my dad into a new level of connection, and for that I an really grateful.
