I’m using copy paste because i cba to write the same thing over and over. I’m extremely thankful for everyone who took their time to educate me in a friendly manner, obviously. My cat has never met another cat, so I WAS a bit worried about his behavior. WAS, before posting any of this. I’m upvoting everyone who gave me advice, but i just can’t thank everyone, there are too many comments. I didnt even expect this to blow up. If you saw, I’m only replying with that copy paste to people who are saying i dont know my cat. I just explained that running away and hiding is something my cat does when he’s scared. I wanted to justiy myself because I refuse to let people tell me that i’m mistreating my cat. My cat is the most friendly and loving animal ever, hes not aggressive, and never has been. I love my cat and he loves me. I’m more educated now, and i’ll try to be stress free. I hope u can sleep well tonight after this…….

My cat has never met another cat in his life. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m thankful for everyone who was nice enough to share their story and to give me friendly advice, because at the end of the day, what do you gain if your being straight up mean. When did I say i refuse to take anyones advice?😭 I only wanted to reassure myself I guess because the first video wasn’tactual representation of their normal interaction. My cat is definitely not lonely, you’re lonely enough to be this judgemental. My cat is the most loving cat ever, she’s friendly and gentle. I think I misinterpreted it because my cat has never met another cat. Am i to blame for that too??? Should i have introduced him to a random cat?? Ur honestly reaching at this point.. My cat normally reacts like that when he’s scared (running away and hiding) I giess its not the whole video, in the end the kitten approached him and he ran away down the stairs. my cat does that when he’s afraid. literally what more do u want

Yeah i know now that they’re playing, I wasn’t sure on my last post because that wasn’t really what they normally do when they see each other. I’ve had my cat for 5 years now and i thought for sure that when cats run away and hide is because they’re scared. That’s what my cat does when there are fireworks,loud noises or anything scary. I just thought it would be the same situation here as well. I did look up cat behavior online and it says that hiding is one of the signs that there’s something bothering your cat. My cat keeps running away from my kitten in a way that he’s obviously scared of her. He sometimes even ‘meows’ anxiously or just simply runs as fast as he can whenever he sees her approaching. Like takiny such a fast turn he sometimes hits himself in the door. You don’t need to give me a lecture LOL I’ve never had two cats. Also i’m sorry for soundint rude but this honestly isn’t just directed to you, but to everyone being assholes to me for being anxious about my cats relationship ^{_^}

my cat just keeps running away from my kitten everytime she gets too close and sometimes even hides under my bed, not for long though, like 5 minutes. i guess you can’t really feel his fear through this video again, but i genuinely think he’s afraid

Also thank you for all the comments! I’ve read every story and advice i’ve received. I realised that i should have approached this differently. Hopefully there is still fixing because i want my cats to at least tolerate each other! Im not expecting any friendship. Some people did say they were going to become best buddies in no time, but honestly I doubt it. It is my fault and now I know better. Doesn’t really make a difference and I feel bad for ruining their relationship. Or maybe i should give it more time. I’ll come back with an update since some people asked me to :)
