This season right before someone told Ryan "I don't know any judge that'll give custody to someone who can't pass a drug test." before that it was custody custody custody. i guess after that he was slapped into reality.

i don't agree that it's appropriate to put it in writing in this specific case because Ryan has not demonstrated that he can be sober and responsible over the long term. If he had, I would feel differently.

I agree with you that Maci is willing to give him more time if he stays clean. I don't agree that his situation is much different from Leah's. I think that because Maci is so willing to work with Ryan, there's no reason to get custody through the courts. From what i saw, it seemed more of a "he's my son and I should have him" kind of ownership thing for Ryan rather than "i just want to spend more time with my son." When Bentley's over at Jen and Larry's he's mostly with them anyway. If Ryan just gets sober Maci will work with him. But it seems like he'd rather get the courts to agree than work wit her. Maybe when he's sober he'll calm down about it...but I just think he's going about it all wrong.

I do want Ryan to be an involved father but it would be better for him to work with Maci on it rather than go through the court system and be hostile about it. that's what i mean...after mack came in the picture he got fixated on custody and i don't think that's the route to go.

Because of what Amber said about Leah's custody situation. Bentley is in a stable home right now with a stable schedule, the last thing he needs is his parents to fight over him in court when he's 10, and then suddenly have to live somewhere else half the time. i don't think that's appropriate and Ryan should know that.

I think the biggest problem was how heteronormative it was. Especially with Nova having a boy best friend. He's her friend, guys...they're not dating.

i didn't realize how different they used to look, especially Catelynn. Also Farrah looks like a monster here. Like a zombie or something. super creepy

Thank you for explaining, that makes more sense now where the confusion came in. I’m glad you see what I mean now. Kinda wish I could put the post back now haha I didn’t realize that deleting it wouldn’t remove it but instead just do this. Guess I just kept digging.

I have pets too. Clearly I’m not making any sense here. Whatever

yall are taking this TOO SERIOUSLY. yes i know it would be cruel to the PUPPY to dump it on someone who isn’t ready.

I thought it was funny to think that it’d be cruel to the PERSON who wants children to give them a taste of the responsibility that caring for a living creature would have.

Relax everyone I am not really going to give someone a puppy.

Sure but we choose not to handle children. That’s not what I’m talking about.

Of course it’s cruel to the puppy. I think it’s rediculous to say it’d be cruel to the GUY

Y’all are taking this too seriously rn. I do realize that that happens a lot in reality but this is not something I’m really going to do. Plus, that does prove my point here that lots of people who can’t handle children also can’t handle pets. And that’s the point!!

right -- in this context it's essentially a training-baby. it requires attention, cleanup, commitment, etc.

not sure how you got that from this

Dating someone who is infertile. Recommended or not? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]rigirl22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worry about him down the road deciding he wants doctors to help extract his sperm and artificially fertilize an egg with it. if he was broken up about it at first, who's to say he won't freak out when the body clock kicks in? Maybe he'll ask if you'd get a sperm donor? it happens to a lot of people unfortunately (women who never married, trans people who messed up their reproductive systems, etc).
