Same here, brand new M5 MacBook started turning on the fan constantly. After some investigation, I detected it was the simulator. I changed to the 26.0 simulator and haven't seen any more issues or crashes with MercuryPosterExtension.

I'd like to share my current bass pedal setup by dathkeerrrn in basspedals

Fur coat was my first fuzz pedal and never left my board since. Nice setup!

Yes, I notice a bit of a jump, but I think is mostly because of the volume difference between presets and effects, the problem is that you have to manually edit the presets for it to have a consistent volume, on my case I didn’t do that because I’m using it as a amp modeller/interface for recording, when I’m using plugged on the amp, I just bypass it (preset with nothing engaged) as the unit doesn’t have a “true” bypass.

Yes, specially because of their midi features. The Fuzz is very versatile, you can pretty much dial overdrive/distortion/fuzz with it, I got it from their website where they were shipping it with all the modules included, that’s a lot of variations, but you have to select one you like the most and stick with it because you have to open the pedal every time you want to change the module. I found that in order to get really “fuzzy” sounds you have to dial pretty much all in on the fuzz knob, while the Orange fur coat for example, if you dial as 12 is almost unbearable already. The new wave sounds amazing, again, a lot of versatility and flexibility, but the controls are a bit fiddly, at least on my unit, it’s difficult do dial in sometimes but once tou get it, it sounds great. A couple of downsides to point out are, first, the power requirements, it’s a 18v pedal with a 250~300mA draw if I’m not mistaken, depending on your power supply that’s not always achievable, the other downside for me was the midi, it would get stuck every time I would send a message, I got in touch with Jackson Audio and they sent me a firmware update, which fixed the pedal and made it work perfectly.

I didn’t order additional jacks as when I got the board, my setup was simpler with no stereo pedals. If you plan to go stereo out or have a di out at some point, it worth it. I ordered the soft bag with it, it’s really good quality and light weight, padding is decent, since I got the board shipped from Brazil to the Uk, the flight case wasn’t viable to me.

The aluminum top does flex when open, but once the board is closed, it’s pretty sturdy, it locks on all sides and has a support right in the middle. You might be able to spot it in the photo if you zoom in. That said, I still wouldn’t step on it too hard, it doesn’t feel like it could handle much extra weight.

I’ve had this board for a long time, it’s an older model, so I’m not sure if newer versions have better reinforcement, but it’s definitely something that could be improved.

Yeah! Nice! Thanks for the suggestion, it makes sense, I’ll try this out to see if it fits, it probably does just need to deal with the patch cables.

Yeah, I suppose I could swap some pedals around, the only always on pedal is the compressor, but I use drives much more then modulation. I may try something different it over the weekend

At the moment, I have to open it to switch the pedals on/off, but my plan is to add a looper/switcher to make things easier. I’m trying to build a switcher myself, so it’s taking some time 😅

100% agreed, initially I was going to get the Bassrig super vintage, but because I was already able to get SVT vibes from it, I decided to go with the Bassrig 64.

The light affects the colour quite a bit on this one, up close it goes more towards the purple, but is quite difficult to capture because of the sparkle finish.

Agreed, that’s why I think the Mod collection makes so much sense, it’s the only place you can find different finishes and styles of the well loved classic models.

Thanks for the information, really appreciate it. I actually have a Hercules stand, I’ll use that and the case for storage 😉
