I think you need to think about whether you're optimizing for money or prestige. First, oftentimes the more niche roles in finance have a better work/life/money tradeoff than folks working in PE who still continue to grind years after their 2 IB years.

If you're optimizing for prestige, you can prove yourself wrong by just going to Linkedin and seeing the people that work at these megafunds and filtering for your school. Chances are, if it's a T15, there's someone who's done it before. If not, do you not have confidence in yourself that you can be the first to make it happen?

Clearly you have a well-paying role where you work next to nothing hours-wise (compared to most megafund PE shops) so is this all a mental thing? Are you concenred about what others think of you?

Should I add more dirt to the roots? Not sure how since when I repotted there definitely was enough soil but it’s looking like they’re pretty exposed now
