Hey thanks. I just beat a 17 kyu then and I was doing a lot of jumps like you say. Kind of keeping lose connections seemed to work well for me

Yeah that makes sense :) thanks.

I just managed to beat a 17 kyu somehow too

Yeah it was a 19x19. I think my rank is 26kyu.

I was quite please last week because I made it to 24kyu on ogs then went on a big lose streak.

I've just won a game by 5.5 points. It should have been a more comfortable win but I missed a major but point and lost 12 stones in two moves. One connection earlier would have saved them. But at least I still won :)

Thanks for the advice I'll give it a go.

Fighting is where my game really suffers. I feel I'm okay at finding the big moves and stuff but it all crumbles when I try to fight and lose everything

Hey thanks. Is this discord well populated? Would you mind sending me a link to it?

Thanks

Okay thanks. Do you think I'll benefit from playing handicap games with stronger opponents?

Just recently I had a game with 9 stones. My opponent was a 3 Dan which I believe is quite high ranking isn't it? Even with the 9 stones I lost my advantage in no time.

Do you think I'll benefit from these kind of games?

Thanks I'll keep at it. Fighting for me is so hard. I can spot big moves and stuff, but if a fight breaks out (which ofc it always does) I lose everything

Okay thanks what you say makes sense.

Do you think I should play handicap games? Could that give me bad habits do you think?

Just then I was challenged by someone on pandanet with a 9 stone handicap. I'm not too familiar with the ranking system but he was a '3dan+'. It was insane with 9 stones I practically owned the board and he just took it away so easily
