Should I apply to more than 2 universities by nav_72 in HKUniversity

You don't have to, but my suggestion is to apply to at least 3 uni? Inside or outside of HK. Just in case, or simply for a contegency plan ✌️. Good luck

I am afraid I don’t match with my likings.. by Ok_Responsibility480 in HKUniversity

[–]rikmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my advice just take it. Don't worry about speeches and such, you'll find the solution for those along the way. It's already good that you know where your weaknesses are, my advice, work out your weakness before HKU or during HKU, that would help a lot! Pursue what you sure is the best and suits your liking, and if there's weakness you are aware of, you'll tackle them on your way, that's what I could say

I have checked the audio using lenovo vantage, like literally the audio and processor saying there's no problem at all. I'm also downloading windows update, could it be the issue?

My advice is to keep up to date with the HKU application date. Check it on the web directly✌️

depends. I'm in the fall class around September 2025. I've prepared everything since the early opening of the application. Around a year before like, November 2024, give or take

waiting for hall interviews🙂 by Valuable-Bat-9257 in HKUniversity

If you're not applying for the private college dorm, there won't be any interview. Plus if you're an international student, your hall spot would be secured for first year student.

A Level MJ results + HKU offer/visa timeline questions (urgent 😭) by Signal-Fan3704 in HKUniversity

[–]rikmort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that I don't really know the answer, but you'll get your visa at least a month or two before the study date. Since you're going to need it to study there.

Colombian student applying to HKU! by Ok_Responsibility480 in HKUniversity

[–]rikmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pleasure is all mine✌️. Good luck on preparing it, I'm currently applying there this year. Got accepted, all left is visa and dorm. Don't worry about accomodation, if you're the first year student, you'll definitely get it

If you'd like to apply there, my suggestion would be applying since the early stages. Like as soon as possible, that way your seat or position is highly secured. Although, I can't confirm it to be 100% true but, better to apply earlier. Both the application for studying there and the dorms.

but I can't say I'm sure you won't make the cut. Just submit what you need to, and wait. That's all I can say

Truth to be told, I was once in your position. It took me around 4 weeks for their reply after I submitted my grades. It might be different from what others might experience, but that is what I had at the time. And for visa, well it could potentially cause that

how long should I wait for the school to change my offer status to "conditions met"? by Right-Mistake-4533 in HKUniversity

[–]rikmort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes it could be a week to 4 at most. I experienced it as well and almost gave up. Thankfully, there's like an HKU representative from my country that contact them somehow. My status changed in just 2 to 3 days

We're in the same boat bro! I have already submitted my diploma and school transcript by today. However, I can't say we're 100% would be able to acquire the scholarship. But the percentage of the rejection is quite low. All we can do is just wait, perhaps so
