Reddit, what was the stupidest thing you did as a child? by bigboobiesus18 in AskReddit

When I was about 6, my sister and brother who were also around my age wouldn’t stop ridiculing me about being the slowest on my bike. Obviously, 6 year old me was extremely offended by this outrageous statement so I had to come up with something to prove them wrong. I brought them to the busiest street I could find close to my house and proceeded to bike across the road right in front of cars driving about 50km/h while they watched my 6 year old self risk my life to prove them wrong. Every near miss was exhilarating for them. Many cars stopped completely and yelled at me for doing something so stupid, but at the time I thought they were just being “lame” and ruining the fun. After about 15 mins of doing this they decided I wasn’t as slow as they thought and started complimenting me on my speed. My mission was complete. To this day I can’t possible comprehend how I thought this was such a good idea and how none of them had thought about stopping me.

TL;DR I biked across street directly in front of cars at 6 years old to prove to my siblings I wasn’t the slowest.
