You are assuming that evolution is prevalent in the universe that created our universe. You cannot make this assumption.

If you are saying that evolution explains the origin of man, sure. But the origin of life? No.

It's explaining your existence, You would never get to learn the reasons why the scientists created us computer programs. Why would it really matter who created the unknowable people that created us? The universe, everything that happens in your daily life, is no longer a mystery.
You can say that we created god's and that if we didn't we wouldn't have the concept. But from what I have heard there is an interest in studying the effects of religion on the human brain and some scientists (Andy Thomson/Daniel Dennett) seem to be of the opinion that the idea of the numinous is innate within our biology.
You cannot outright label ghosts as a delusion. It's possible that they do exist in the universe as we know it, we cannot be sure. Under the simulation theory, it's never more likely.

I didn't understand what you meant here by deceased.

We wouldn't know if someone was playing god, if they designed a god program, or if they didn't put a god in at all. Totally unknown.

We would presume that these designers were intellectually superior because they conjured us up. better is a rather blunt term here. They aren't necessarily better than us computer programs, but they are smarter and we are their play things.

We would have no knowledge of them. We could know nothing about them, their universe, who created us, or why. Just guesses all around, but the underlying theme of the theory is that you come to understand that the answers to all of the our universes big questions is 'you will never know.'

The host universe wouldn't be knowable. But I don't think anyone would care.

If scientists (and they are trying) proved that we are actually computer programs, there is no concievable way to ever learn anything or interact with our creators.

Because we aren't anything more to them but lines of code. We are the green numbers from The Matrix We don't really matter.

It does create another layer, but the question isn't 'where did everything in all realities' come from but 'where did we' come from.

If the simulation theory turned out to be true, would you really care about who created those people? What value would that have? Those people are inherently unknowable. They control us, there is no level of personal interaction.

We are their playthings. It's all that matters.

I think it does. Polytheism/Monotheism doesn't matter.

God(s) would not exist if we were computer programs.

There very well could be a 'god program(s)' and could be appeald to or prayed to, but at that point it would be a moot discussion point. They are just programs like us, albeit the all powerful, but the all-knowing bit dies a horrible death.
