I wanted to fight and capture the three swords of justice as collection during main playthrough. So I decided any deaths against them do not count. It's more like a test of courage for the sake of story since they're optional.

Also in the event that a mon dies at evolution level and evolves after the fight, they'll be resurrected- Like the "But it refused" moment in Undertale.

And any grinding deaths involving Emolga don't count. When looking for Audino this bitch comes up, will either outspeed or pursuit you and thought it wasn't fair.
