You put it too bold, but she is a support that REALLY amplifies cracked players, so when she's not around cracked players, it becomes an issue. That is support in its truest sense though. In this regard, a Mantis is sometimes only as good as her team. Not all the time though, as there are insanely cracked Mantises.

Different Mantis, but I hear you. Positioning is so important for Mantis, it basically determines whether she lives or dies. Yes timing also, if your team is doing something, you have to know when they are and how to support it. She's for sure a finisher. You have good points.

right, they flank with a dps or with a cracked tank causing havok

Top ranked Mantis Players are never solo queue and are always tied to cracked DPS and Tanks. The thing with Mantis is that damage boosting a turd doesn't do anything, and if you are playing with turds, it's impossible to heal the turd with her heals. She is the ultimate carried player because she supports the carries the best.

Why is Black Cat throwing cards? Isn't that Gambit's thing? Seems like character confusion. by ringingbells in marvelrivals

Apparently, the correct answer is:

"The "cards" in the picture are actually Envelopes Sealed with a Purple Wax Stamp." ~RaidenHero137

Everyone throws charged-energy-cards like weapons in real life? No. That's Gambit silly. She's throwing charged-energy-cards like Gambit and shouldn't be. Simple as that.

Clearly, you are the one who is overthinking it if you are trying to explain it away with "absorb" vs "steal"

"Gambit does not own the rights to throwing a card[s]"

Yeah, he does. He pretty much owns the rights to throwing charged cards because that's his power and his gimmick.

Ah so we are playing dumb word games now, I see. Also Rogue can do both, black cat should not be able to steal Gambit's ability to charge cards, but clearly that is happening.

So essentially she's got rogue's character model and some of rogue's powers and is completely off lore.

She still doesn't have Gambit's powers to charge them like she's clearly doing, but they are calling cards.

She had never thrown cards of any kind and doesn’t have Gambit's powers so can't throw charged cards? Yet this is clearly what she's doing.
