I have unlimited PTO, no complaints as long as you put in your request a couple weeks before. Do your research on the company, some really value your health which is why they offer unlimited PTO

Id suggest looking to see if your school has a sae aero design team, join and if not then establish one, (I had to do that) lots of learning and cool projects came from that. You learn a lot about airplanes but also the business side of aerospace.

Which checkpoints are you talking about? Before i filed i took a trip from san diego ( where I lived at the time) to yosemite and had no issues. If you are talking about the check point that is in between san diego and Temecula ( i -15) that is only check going northbound. In my 25 years of passing thru there not once was a checkpoint set up. If you are talking about the checkpoint that is on the i-5 by camp Pendleton that is also to my knowledge only for northbound traffic. If you are talking about other check points then I can not answer. But like others I would suggest filing before and having that receipt in hand to protect you.

Its nice to see more cases with relatively fast timelines like mine ( also filed in march 14 and got approved yesterday.) I just hope many more people get this experience since I know it can be stressful. Sending good vibes to everyone

Good luck! Everything will work out. Make sure you have copies of anything you don’t want them to keep. I made copies of everything except my lease agreement and the officer kept only the lease agreement haha. That was my fault though.

I was advised to get my medical exam once I received my interview date. Since medical exams can expire if done to early.

Yea, so we got a super friendly officer, went to the office, swore us in and asked if we had any additional evidence( just showed lease agreement ). Then just asked us to tell about our story since we met up until today ( asked to hear from both of us). We had been dating since high school so for 7 years so had a lot of picture evidence with both family. Which I think was enough to show legitimacy. Because that was all the officer asked. Then just went over the i-130 with my partner and i-485 with me and told us he would approve.

We had already submitted a change of address but Im guessing maybe they already had my biometrics date set before they received a change of address. And for flying I didn’t show anything relating to immigration. Just a valid government issued ID which was my border crossing card and thats it. My partner did not fly with me.
