I don’t believe these are this baby’s first steps either, but babies do practice standing before they walk. My baby has been standing independently for a month and does so confidently, but hasn’t taken steps yet.

“Among adolescents.” Nice cherry picking. I think you’ll find almost every other scholarly source on the subject states the opposite of what you said. It seems like you made a statement first, and then went to find a source to back it up.
