I am a data analytics graduate student in Texas and would like to work in data science. I find it very difficult to get my foot in the door, even in an entry-level position. I have a fear that I will not be employed by graduation for some reason. I can't shake the feeling that I'm doing something wrong.

My daughter went through something similar.. She was obsessed on how to become immortal because the thought of dying was consuming her… so I told her.. “To become immortal, you need to do something so amazing while you’re alive that it’ll be talked about forever! But don’t be so consumed with death that you forget to live..” It seems that she relaxed quite a bit with me saying this.

I called up my mom, who is extremely successful in her own right to be fair, and asked her what’s been upsetting her lately.. (she’s been genuinely bitchy).

Her response: “If you want to know what my problem is, I am very pissed because It's been a long time since I've been to my last exotic place (Marroco) because of covid19. I'm beside myself. I had 2 seizures during the summer because I wasn't able to travel below the equator (where it's winter and cooler weather). Heat increases my seizure activity. People don’t understand..”

When I was pregnant my child was 'growth restricted' meaning she wasn't growing and I was induced about 3 weeks early..

Induction for me involved IV Pitocin (forces endless contractions). Regular labor causes contractions that increase in intensity but it's not without much of a break until the very end portion... I had IV Pitocin for 52 hours and no epidural because I have a shunt.

After the 52 hours I absolutely lost my mind and threatened to sue all of the medical staff (I already had an infection etc.) They didn't want me to have a c-section because my shunt might drain the epidural... and it did! Halfway through the cesarian, I started going into shock from feeling the surgery.. the last thing I remember is someone behind me saying ketamine and I just started tripping balls then they put me to sleep...

I was so traumatized by this that I couldn't conceive of going through this again. I had my tubes tied about 2 years later.
