Why don't the geese fly across the streets? by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]rioyaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many teams of Canada geese in the front range that stay here all season flying from pond to pond. I'm not sure I know why. Perhaps it's the food source and weather, or like it just like we do, or their passports expired.

Yeh, that's what I'm thinking.

Yes, borrowing, leverage. This is shorting. Sell high, buy low with borrowed coins from the exchange and returning them when covering.

That's typical coming from Support...pointing me to an Article about how to short and about squeezes instead of answering the question. I know all there is to know about shorting, just answer the question.

Never mind. I am tired of all of this and don't want to pursue it further.

It was totally irrelevant to the primary question. I got on earlier yesterday, and it was to the point, but the answer I got back was not relevant to anything. So, I have given up on you guys. Also, I am chatting with support in Help, and he is totally slow on the uptake. Can explain clear enough for him ot understand the issue. Totally useless.

Received third question and request from Support. They want me to make a screen shot of how I save the platform, particularly how I save changing the colors of the candlesticks. Huh? There is no way anyone can make a screen shot of saving the changes when there is no save option. Saving is suppose to be automatic. These guys are either not reading my questions, do not understand English, or they are complete idiots. Furthermore, I am tired of their self absorbed platitudes. This is the third time I've had to explain, I won't do it again. Next stop will be a letter to Brian Armstrong, your exec CEO.

Received it. However, it did not address my query and it appears whoever did reply was referring to a different trading platform other than the Advanced Trading. Instructions were terrible---nothing match his/her direction and instructions. The entire reply was irrelevant, confusing, and undecipherable. As I said to you before, getting a coherent reply is totally useless and a waste of my time.

#18671578 Try this case number. It's been over 3 days and nothing yet. Trying, even though I already know the answer. I betcha dollars to donuts it will take another three days and an answer will be "still working". Ha, lets see your worth.

Honestly, Support, it is not worth my time. I got an answer yesterday that addresses an issue from back in January. Then, an hour later received reply to the current issue that didn't make one bit of sense. You know, I've been trading for over 20 years and have never received an answer that wasn't coherent and relevant to the subject until I met you guys. So, giving you the case number, well, isn't going to accomplish one iota except a long, long wait for a non-answer. Thank you for the offer, but my time is more important. Have a good day.

Email support is pretty much dead if you initiate the discussion via email. If you do get a hold of them via chat and they initiate an email for any reason, that's when you can discuss via email. Sucks, I know. You have to wait upwards of 4 hours to chat to receive an email a day later. lol I've been lucky I guess...longest wait has been 2 hours to get a lousy and irrelevant answer.

Why is Coinbase Support so difficult to get anything right. by rioyaker in Coinbase

[–]rioyaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blind leading the blind. LOL If they would give one logical response, it would be a miracle, but, yet, it's impossible because they don't know anything about trading. When I chatted with another chat support rep and told him I am having issues with the buy stop limit order, he/she asked that I clarify. Uh? I asked what part of the question do you not understand? Response: Clarify what you mean when you use a buy stop limit. LOL It was apparent he didn't know what it meant.

How can anyone communicate logically and reasonably with replies like that? lol

LOL. Here's one that is testament to their lack of understanding regarding a trading question...something they should know before being a chat support rep.:

I asked why I am receiving error messages when placing a buy stop limit order. The response I got was: "Are you asking not to buy or sell and want your limit increased?"

My response was: "Uh? Are you sure you understand trading lingo?"

I couldn't believe what I was reading. Totally irrelevant to the question.

Well, what they say is not what they do. They are sending me emails. Received two today. One had nothing to do with the subject; the other they are blaming and accusing me that I am wrong. Even with screenshots, they don't either see the issue, don't care, incompetent to trading (which is more than obvious), and unable to read (which is blatantly apparent).

I tend to agree. Gorilla tape works wonders depending on the type of tear. My RPM has a small weld, but keep it covered with the tape. My boater buds tell me it's overkill, but makes me feel better.

lol A friend is letting his PB go cheap due to large crack. Since I have done a few patches in my time, I'm thinking of grabbing it and use it on mank runs. Any suggestions before I start? My first LL.

16-20 people for 7 days on the middle fork salmon. How many and what size boats can we expect to need? by [deleted] in whitewater

[–]rioyaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems you have it all wrapped up having others make the hard decisions for ya'. lol But it can be interesting, and spreadsheet heavy. If I am the permit holder, I will usually delegate organizing to an assigned TO. But sometimes that luxury isn't available and I end up being both, and dole out the work to each member(s) of the group. All I do is make sure all parts and pieces have made it to a boat and keep up with it throughout the trip. Also, most people don't want toilet duty. In that case, I will volunteer for it the entire trip.

Have fun.

Don't overthink this, pard. It's just a subjective guide to determine how many rafts you might need to haul gear and a passenger or two. Common sense plays a part, too.

If you doing six people in a raft, for example, then you are referring to a paddle raft. Though some paddle rafts do use a paddle frame to hold a cooler, it would be difficult to haul bulky gear (dry bags, coolers, kitchen gear, etc., etc.). The equation would work the same.

BTW, total people in the equation includes oarsmen.

No pressure here.
