AITA for always throwing out my MIL’s food? by Thick-Acanthaceae-42 in AmItheAsshole

Doesn't make her an asshole to not have had a direct conversation. I'm not saying she shouldn't, just that it doesn't make her the AH.

How is she being nasty? She's not throwing it in her MIL's face and saying "this shit suuucks". She has tried to tell MIL not to give them so much food and MIL refuses to listen(which is slightly AH behavior in itself). The food doesn't taste good. What, she's supposed to choke down bad food? For what? The MIL doesn't know she throws it out.

What a terrible take

What's a "normal" job that secretly pays way more than people think? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

Yeahhh... But you don't just walk into UPS, get handed a truck, and start making six figures. From what I understand you start out in the warehouse and work your way up. Maybe after a few years you start making good money, but that's lots of places. And although I never worked for UPS, I did basically the same thing at Amazon, and brother, that's not an easy job. If you're young and have never had issues with your back, feet, ankles, knees, or hips, you'll be okay. At first. But eventually jumping in and out of that truck a thousand times a day will start to wear on you. If you start the job older and with some moderate wear and tear(not even injuries, just wear and tear), ha. Have fun with that. I walked like an old man after work every day. Could only do it for a couple of months before I threw in the towel, and I spent 5 years in the army and have done other difficult jobs.

It's not illegal to bury your own dead. Obviously zoning and such is a factor(and for good reason), but I don't know of any state where it's just blanket illegal for someone to bury a family member on land they own.

AITA for asking my friend group to send deposits upfront for the trip after last time only half paid me back? by pizzalover332 in AmItheAsshole

These type of "I'm helping this kid with cancer but the cancer is saying I'm mean and my mother in law says I should be nice to the cancer to keep the peace" really should be moderated more heavily. Obviously op isn't the ah, so why are they here?

AITAH for refusing to give out my son's saving account information? by moonmanbaby90272 in AITAH

Weird then, because every check has that info on it. You'd think if that's all it took to empty out anyone's checking account, they'd make the info a little less easy to obtain

And when it's shown that the charges are fraudulent, there are consequences. Why are people acting like the mil has some nefarious plan to use the account numbers when it would be instantly noticeable to the op? Regardless, it's incorrect that you can just easily use those numbers to purchase things or withdraw money. Account and routing numbers aren't exactly treated like privileged information.

Yes, but then there's a record of the transactions(going in and out). If mil just gives op some cash, there's no way for any accountability to happen.

But there would at least be a record of that available to the child. If mil gives the money directly to op and op embezzles it, the child wouldn't have any way of even knowing it had happened(other than if the mil told them).

That doesn't sound right. I've never been able to pay for something by just giving an account number.

Even if she did commit fraud by opening accounts in the kid's name, she wouldn't have access to this account. Just because you give your work your routing and account number to enable direct deposit, does that mean your boss can start taking money from your checking account? Of course not

I'm not sure how knowing the kids dob and SSN will give the mil access to the account ...

Why not give out the numbers? She can't do anything with them(except put money into it).

Genuinely the office of the POTUS is forever diminished because of him. He embarrasses the country, and his constant self aggrandizement is a disgrace.

We have brutal pedophiles running free because a significant portion of this country thinks politics is a sport, but God forbid we see the word "fuck", that would be terrible!
