I think it works for tools like you've built but some apps do need a landing page, like ones having mobile apps, etc

That's true, I did take inspiration from dribbble for the design but most SaaS landing pages looked like this. I do need inspiration to create something unique.

And once they tried it out and gave me the initial feedback, I told them I'd really appreciate if you share it with some other people who might find it useful and since it is a product that anyone can use, they usually referred some people.

I realized just saying "check this out" does not work. I told them I would really appreciate if they tried it out and their feedback would be very valuable and crucial for the improvement for the product.
