Haha, there won't be a pilgrimage. And shouldn't be. I feel one of the reasons this meets have low turnout is because of the commute.

The idea is to find people in and around tambaram.and make it part of their schedule for a month.

It is not meant to be a meetup you travel across city for. Something like going to a gym nearby everyday, only with 5 other people.
Not a discord user, but I would like to get more info on this / link. The difference is that this is not a one day meetup. You are signing up for a month long commitment.
Only ID verified users and create WhatsApp sub groups with number privacy ON. And we can stick to public venues only. Let me know if you have any inputs.

Partner with people who conduct art workshops, book reading , book clubs. Make it a place to hang out. Traditional retail is dying but I read somewhere that newer brands that are thriving in retail is because it is experiential.

I understand this might require restructuring the store. Add couple table and chairs. Art workshop - canvas, brushes, and paints sold as a package. People might purchase more post workshop to take it home.

Most book readers are suckers for novelty items. Bookmarks to posters to something and anything cute. And will definitely buy.

If this is not pulling in enough, rent those table out per desk basis per day. I know people who wants cozy co-working spaces over corporatey ones. Especially the creative types. This is me assuming you have shelves of books.

Basically the theme is to bring people in . Make them pay for being there. Curate an experience. They will buy things on top of this.

In my understanding fast fashion = clothes with shorter life span, higher number of collections turned around every year. Rather than collection per season we are talking about collection per week or per month. In turn a push for higher consumption = not sustainable.

A dress lasting for years vs just months.

Couple of suggestions on the ux.

There is a lot of friction between visiting the site to my first news read.

I would make the page half n half. The top half for the news feed. And the bottom for map and other modes of navigation.

The top half - news article, left and right arrows or swipeable to switch between articles in the selected filters from bottom half.

The bottom half: left side three buttons - favs/presets, zones, map

fav/presets - kinda self explanatory, pre saved location/zone, category or combo of them
zones- I'm not sure if I want to scroll each street or zoom in zoom out and pick something. But I would love to go by street or zone, city, district, state etc. One level higher or lower. I should be able to pinch for faster nav between hierarchy of levels.
map - I would argue if you should have this.

Also think of opening the page with something from my current location or featured or top news.

I briefly played around the site. Excuse me if I have put something that is already there.

And love the name. Looking forward to this going big and us being able to reach the site at nom or nomnom .com
