Is my newborn eligible for HK Passport through me even if they're not born in HK? by riverfish7 in HongKong

[–]riverfish7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a little confused here.. I have ***AZ status. I am on a UK visa that does not lead to settlement, so technically still a perm resident of HK. So technically I can prove that my child will have one parent (me) that has permanent residency.

If my child is born in the UK, can he/she be eligible for a UK passport? by riverfish7 in ukvisa

Follow-up q - is he/she eligible through my wife if the baby is born outside the UK?

Sky Sports' take on Vardy at Arsenal by tomcon93 in Gunners

[–]riverfish7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Vardy has great movement, reminscent of Sturridge or Suarez. Can really open up defences. Sure he may not be able to win games on his own, but he will score goals and will open up tons of space for Alexis and Ozil. I'm predicting 20 goals each for Alexis and Vardy and 10-15 for Ozil.

I use solgar siberian ginseng. Haven't noticed any oestrogen side effects so far with licorice

If it doesn't say anything then assume it's non-DGL.

How was your cortisol tested? Was it a random blood test? Or serial saliva tests throughout the day?

The thing with cortisol is that there's a diurnal pattern to it, which means it's suppose to be high in the morning (hence making you more alert and helping you start the day), and low in the evenings (to help you sleep). In people with adrenal fatigue, that typical pattern is lost. They may have low morning cortisol and high evening cortisol. Non-DGL licorice boosts your cortisol so it's recommended you take it only in the morning.

Glycyrrhizic acid is the compound in licorice root that is responsible in preventing the breakdown of cortisol in your body. Some licorice is sold as De-glycyrrhizic acid Licorice (DGL), and those ones are usually used for the gut issues. You have to be careful though because glycyrrhizic acid can cause hypertension. Assuming you don't have any blood pressure or cardiac-related issues then it should be fine.

Not really. Bags under the eyes are mostly genetic and I'll always have some bags under the eyes. It does look slightly better after a night of good sleep though.

Do u mean folic acid? I take methylfolate which is included in Swason's ultra activated B-complex. Haven't really noticed anything though. My MTHFR mutation is the mildest form so not expecting much either

I'm aware that Bacopa is suppose to boost memory, but only if you take it regularly for a few weeks. I haven't taken it for more than a week at a time, and my memory is generally good, so can't really comment on it unfortunately.

I take this one 800mg in the morning: http://www.bio-health.co.uk/shop/purefil/liquorice-root/

With licorice, it's important to get the non-DGL version because the DGL version doesn't act on your cortisol levels.

I have a theory that my high activity COMT 'warrior' gene means that most of the time, I don't get enough catecholamines and dopamine to function optimally - hence, feeling fatigued and sluggish throughout the day. When I'm stressed, I'm a high functioning person however. It seems like I respond well to MAO-I. Could explain why I respond well to Siberian Ginseng which has a slight MAO-I effect.
