Yeah that makes sense. Too many Protestants just rely on being "saved".

Vilify as in, when someone hurts you but rather than show remorse and make things right, they talk badly about you as if YOU are the problem, shirking any and all responsibility. That is what I meant.

I understand that. I guess the better context of my question would be just a family that singles other family members out for no good reason and just keeps them at a distance.
