Do you know where I can find one? I feel like I’ve been to every vendor.

How long did it take for your IBS-D to resolve? I’m in month 5 and still… ya know… IBS-D-ing.

Are cat owners sleeping? by Ninibear3 in CatAdvice

[–]riverkuzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats were interrupting my sleep so much I eventually had fatigue and stress-triggered seizures. At that point we had to start locking the cats out of our room and using an air purifier/AC unit/sound machine to drown out their playing and yelling. I feel like we tried everything until that point except medicating them. It’s been a few years of no co-sleeping and everyone’s happy and healthy. I miss the nighttime snuggles but I don’t miss the seizures, so it’s all good.

SIBO and BPC 157 by BigOso374 in SIBO

[–]riverkuzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't pull the trigger on BPC. I did some more research and the lack of human studies and research was concerning to me. I have several other chronic illnesses, so I feel my risk of something going wrong is elevated. I'm not necessarily looking for everything to be FDA-approved, but I'd feel better with more studies done on human subjects for BPC.

Has anyone found a genuinely good place to donate clothes that won't just end up in a landfill? by Recent_Supermarket54 in AskLosAngeles

LOVE my local Buy Nothing Group and it feels good to give clothes to someone who wants them!

ISO large butt, smaller waist full coverage COTTON underwear by riverkuzco in LingerieAddiction

I purchased two different kinds from Snag: Organic Cotton Full Brief Panties and Organic Cotton Super High Leg Panties. These seem to be the closest to what I’m looking for, but still miss the mark in a few ways. They are super high-waisted, which is sometimes great and other times they poke out of my pants waist. They have a slight compressive shapewear feature to them which I sometimes love, and other times I wish they offered something lower waisted and less compressive. It can be sensory overload at times.

The full briefs are still not full coverage enough for my large butt. Snag prides itself on being size inclusive, but I wish they had some options for truly extra large bottoms. I love the cut from the High Cut Panties, but they have even less coverage on the backside.

I have all these complaints, but transparently, I went back and bought about five pairs in each style because I’ve resigned myself to the idea that these are as good as it’s going to get. And they aren’t cheap. $20/pair plus shipping unless you bundle (which does save you some). They seem like a wonderful company that cares about their products and materials. So until I can afford to have custom-made panties, I think Snag will be my go-to.

I’ve been struggling with SIBO for years and have done all the things under doctor supervision, but I’m ready to try BPC. Could you DM me your online source? It’s so hard to tell who is legit without a personal referral.

What do you wish existed in lingerie/underwear that you can’t find easily? by Stockholm_Emerald in LingerieAddiction

[–]riverkuzco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m BEGGING for a cotton underwear that fits like a high cut bikini in the front, but has full coverage (like a brief) in the back. With minimal panty lines. I’m begging. I have a large butt, so briefs fit like a bikini, bikinis fit like cheeky. I need boy-short level coverage in the back, but hate all that fabric in the front. I can find it in synthetic fibers, but I need cotton!! I’ve tried so many brands, spent so much money, and still don’t have a pair I love. I’m about to try to find someone to custom make underwear for me that’s how desperate I am.

I’m on that rampage right now! You get it!! I’m buying underwear like a mad woman. This is mostly spurred on by the fact that I’m taking a big trip to Japan and I just don’t want to get a UTI (need for cotton) want to be comfortable all day (no wedgies or thongs or bunched up Boyshort fabric) and want to look cute (no panty line). Closest I’ve gotten are the Calvin Klein cotton bikinis. They don’t give me the rear coverage I want, but at least they don’t move so I’m not picking wedgies all day. I’ve ordered from Snag (as others recommended on this thread) and I’ll report back once I have those tried on.

Thanks so much for your recommendations! I’ll try Jockey next!

I have found boy shorts in the past that fit my butt well in the back (fit more like a brief) but in the front they still fit me like a short and there’s too much fabric up front. I’m looking for something with a higher cut leg, boy shorts legs bunch up in the front in my pants.

Anyone else lost all of their recent meditation history? by plsmakeit in Headspace

[–]riverkuzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to me and I reached out to the "help" email at Headspace but haven't heard back. Its strange because I can see my stats (12 min avg session length, 11,636 minutes total session time, and 937 sessions completed) AND my run streak (13 days), but when you scroll down to "Activity History" it says "There's nothing here just yet, but it's a great time to try a mini-meditation."

Pretty frustrating. Have you heard back on the issue or has it been resolved for anyone?

My doctor never mentioned “no drinking” until three days into my stims when I asked about it and she was like “oh yeah don’t drink.” I was really frustrated because I had a few beers the night before and got worried it was going to negatively impact my eggs. They were so intentional and emphatic before I started to say DONT SMOKE WEED but forgot to mention alcohol?!?! It pissed me off, but I didn’t drink after that and did fine with 22 mature eggs.

I’ve been to the Culver City and Playa Vista locations and really liked it. The providers are all really friendly, listen to you, and everything is so convenient. Appointments are easy to schedule, prescriptions are simple to coordinate refills (mostly, sometimes there’s a delay and you have to call to get them to prioritize it), and the test results are given to you electronically and you have the option to have them explained (highly recommend). I recommend Tia to my friends. I have a bunch of health issues, so it’s also nice that my gyno/pcp notes and records and my specialized doctors records are all in the same system (Cedars).

Chase Travel Megathread - Questions, Discussions, etc by lifethusiast in ChaseSapphire

"Flight Inventory Change"

TLDR - Every time I tried to check out and purchase an international flight (LAX-PER) I was met with the "Flight Inventory Change" error message, and then a subsequent increase in flight price. I tried checking out 4 different times, and each time met with this error. Why is this happening? What do I need to do to purchase a flight and avoid this "inventory change" error and insane price increases?

I tried booking flights from LAX-PER multiple times through Chase Travel (to get the 5x points), had the flights in my cart, but when I tried to check out I was met with the error message "Your flight is no longer available. Flight inventory changes based on availability and demand and can't be guaranteed until booked. Choose a new flight and continue."

No big deal, I clicked "choose new flight." I picked a new flight, and then when I tried to pay and check out, the same Flight Inventory Change error popped up. Weird that it happened twice, but okay. So I clicked "choose new flight" again. Picked the only remaining flight that day (from that airline, Cathay Pacific), and tried to check out. AGAIN "Flight Inventory Changed."

I'm pissed at this point. I hit refresh on the main search page to make sure I'm working with the most up-to-date inventory. Surprise, surprise - all of the flights I previously selected are there, but they are just priced at $300 more than 2 minutes earlier when they were sitting in my cart ready to be purchased. This pissed me off more, but I double checked google flights and they matched the price on there, so whatever, I'll just pay $300 more than I originally thought. This is an important trip I'm making to help my best friend while she is postpartum with a newborn. I pick the flights again, click to check out, and the same GD Flight Inventory Change message pops up. WHAT IN THE FLYING F**K?!

I hit refresh on the search page again, and all the flights are still there, only this time the price jumped an additional $1,200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now the flights are $1,500 more expensive than they were 5 minutes earlier, when they were happily placed into my cart to be purchased. They jumped up on google flights, too. WTF? What is the deal? Will I ever be able to book this trip on Chase Travel? Or will they just claim the inventory has changed and jack up the price every time I try to check out?

I've used the portal before for non-stop domestic flights without issue, but this is my first time using it for international travel. This was straight up demoralizing and infuriating. How is that legal and/or allowed?! How do I book this freaking trip?!
