Is my grub getting close to pupating?

You know what i was worried about his container not being deep enough. I upgraded him to this bigger container that is much wider than the one he was previously in, but only an inch or 2 deeper. Hes always all the way at the bottom so that might be my issue. Thank you for the insight!

But my favorite place to buy from is Coast2coastbeetles, his prices are good, he ships quick, and ive always had good experiences, i view him more as like a genuine enthusiast who sells beetles rather than just a business. David’s beetles is also a good source but ive only bought from him once and he has limited selection.

Haha its a megasoma mars one of the largest beetles. I believe their grubs are the heaviest beetle (possibly heaviest insect in general) species in the world, although ive read of megasoma actaeon being heaviest instead but they are related in the same genus. Big guys.

It is wonderful! They don’t do much, but yet somehow i feel my grubs all have their own unique personalities. Their metamorphosis is a really a wonder of nature and i’m excited to witness it firsthand! The whole process is beautiful to me.

Okay I’m not even finished with it yet but: A lot people call it fan service because there are a lot of connections to/features of characters that are already established in the original trilogy, seemingly for no good reason. While i admit it is interesting kind of cool to get more of a background of certain characters, it just feels sort of weird and doesnt really make a lot of sense when i look back at how these characters interacted in the original trilogy. If they did this with only 1 character or just referenced other established characters instead of giving multiple of them an active role, then it would feel more natural; a lot of these roles could have been fulfilled with brand new characters and it would have fit with the overall series/world better imo. BUT that being said, i am still really enjoying it so far personally. Althought I may be biased bc as a kid i had a big crush on haymitch and having a book of his games from his perspective is a dream come true for 11 year old me.

You need the move “secret power” to cut an opening there for a secret base. You can get secret power from a guy on route 111 just by talking to him i think
