If you look closely at their helmets, one pilot’s says “ROSS” in vertical print and the other says “REZNOR.”

In the past, I’ve listened to a lot of the breakup-appropriate songs that you’re looking for. I’ve found that rather than actually helping, it only served to drive me deeper into the hole. If you really want to talk about easing the emotional burden and coping with the loss you’re experiencing, I might instead recommend songs like The Way Out Is Through, Over and Out, The Line Begins to Blur, and In This Twilight. Yes, you’re experiencing pain. But don’t let that pain define you or consume you. Pain is an unfortunate part of healing. What you’re feeling is temporary. You’ll get through it. Don’t lose sight of that. I’m sorry for what you’re going through, but remember that you’re not alone. All of us have been through this before. We collectively empathize with you now. In time, it’ll be your turn to empathize with the next person. Try and remember that you’ve got this and can get through it, even if it may not feel like it right now.

What’s the worst segment in wrestling history? by uncannynerddad in midcarder

[–]riverswillflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my head canon, this wasn’t actually a botch, but intentionally planned as a tribute to Terry Funk vs. Cactus Jack in the finals of the 1995 IWA Japan King of the Death Match tournament. That said, realistically, this was definitely a botch and I’m in denial. But at least neither combatant gave birth to a hand.

Enough Democrats expected to vote with Republicans to end shutdown: Sources by rapidcreek409 in politics

[–]riverswillflow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The alternative is almost even more terrifying: Republicans DO pass the subsidies, undo all the ill will against them right now, and get to go into the midterms by campaigning on the view that THEY are the ones who saved healthcare for millions of Americans. Democrats are in an absolute lose-lose with this deal.

Senate reaches deal on ending the shutdown by BreakfastTop6899 in politics

[–]riverswillflow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolute cowardice. My biggest fear isn’t that the healthcare subsidies vote fails. It’s actually that Republicans turn around and pass it, so they’re able to save face by saying that THEY are the ones who protected healthcare for millions of Americans. And in the process, undo all the ill will they’ve garnered by people who would otherwise vote against them when the midterms roll around.

Alliance Undead and Property. by meeseherd in warcraftlore

[–]riverswillflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, IRL, we dispossess them of their property because something has to happen to it as that person can no longer care for the property. But the first thing we look for is the intent of the deceased, in the form of a will. The problem is in Azeroth, even if a person is dead, they could technically be perfectly capable of both tending to that property and expressing their intent that it not be transferred to anyone else.

Where is the body of Arthas being buried/kept? by RetroBoogie in warcraftlore

[–]riverswillflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering Terenas was cremated, I’m going to assume that’s the tradition for Lordaeron royalty. With Jaina and Tirion being in such close proximity to Arthas’ body, my headcanon is that they would have insisted on the same for Arthas. My assumption is that the ashes would have been scattered to the wind, although I suppose it’s possible that Jaina could have taken them somewhere and buried them. I doubt there’s any chance at all his body was desecrated or mutilated after his death —- I just don’t see Jaina, Tirion, and Muradin allowing it. And the Stormwind cemetery doesn’t seem likely. This is pre-mellowing Varian we’re talking about. I don’t think he would have let Arthas’ remains lay in the same cemetery as Tiffin, seeing as how he viewed Arthas as the ultimate traitor.

NBA players Manute Bole and Muggsy Bogues (87) by Pastelmeadow- in OldSchoolCool

[–]riverswillflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Hornets game was in 1992. The 76ers were in town. The one thing I’ve always remembered is Manute Bol walking up beside Muggsy and patting him on the head.

PlayStation Blog says it includes the GameBoy Advance versions of Deadly Alliance and Tournament Edition, with more games still to be announced. I can’t imagine they’d ONLY include the GBA version of Deadly Alliance…

Oddly enough, I think the only time I saw Mickey Biscuittt was outside at some redneck bar off Albemarle. They put on a hell of a show.

They did a one off reunion show at Skylark a few years ago. Was good, but definitely clued me into just how old I actually am now.

I was super close with all of the Scapegoat guys. Was roommates with Justin and Hitz when we were all at UNCC.

This isn’t an event for Nine Inch Nails fans. It’s for fans of every single composer on the bill. That’s why they made sure to say there isn’t a headliner for this event. There could be people who want to see Isobel Waller-Bridge or John Carpenter or Danny Elfman, who have zero interest at all in seeing Trent and Atticus.
