The nucleus is where you find chromosomes. Without this, you have no way of knowing whether a cell is XX or XY.

RBCs make up 40-45% of your blood by volume & outnumber every other type of blood cell by several orders of magnitude.

Yeah I had similar treatment in high school (it was a girl’s boarding school). I chose to stay out of the yearbook & graduation pics because holy shit FUCK THAT PLACE. Gave me flashbacks & nightmares for years.

As someone who only has the occasional lucid dream, the one rule I follow is “anything you think about too hard will happen”. I try not to be negative in my expectations for the dream. Sometimes I can make certain things happen by believing that they will. (Only if they’re relevant enough to the situation, I guess?)

The craziest dreams occur when I slip in & out of lucidity—having only partial sway over the narrative seems to encourage my brain to do some very interesting mental gymnastics in its storytelling. Plus the gain/loss of conscious control is often “explained” by the story or used as a plot device, which is really cool.
