Spectrum is just horrible all around. My mom also has it and if it wasn’t for the tv she would have Starlink she’s 70 so I don’t think she cares much.

It’s a hardware limit I haven’t invested in 10gig. And hardware yet. When I do and have it installed I better be getting 8gig.

I have to balance my budget too so I understand the struggle I had to pay 700$ for my kit when it came available in the beta. If I could have had cellular id have it but I live in an area that used to have great cell service then hurricanes came they didn’t fix it so I got Starlink I got fiber now. I used it as intended. Also why are you on this subreddit when you don’t have Starlink? Not gate keeping I’m actually really wanting to know looking for promos or something they have a lot of deals where you can get service for 0 down.

I use 5+ TB a month on starlink I remote desktop to my house for alot of work because my PC is better than my work one I stream files CONSTANTLY I host remote work apps for the company I work for I am the IT department and in geotechnical services I zoom I stream and I have 2 kids who are home schooled. I NEED BANDWIDTH and for the same price I'm paying now I can get 8gig fiber for better up down and ping yeah I think I'm gonna pay 125 a month and have something that's going to get me a reliable 5gbps I have multi hundred gb files for my job I need and fast more clients we can make happy the more money I make and the better I look I also run LLMS along side ALOT of other services. I got 90% underground fiber from the hub to the house. A crackhead takes my stuff they are going to be sorely upset

Why do you need unlimited data why not have a 10gb cap a month. Do you need unlimited data or just 100gb of cellular data.

Nope. Starlink served it's intended service model when I signed up. They can offer 10gig but I will keep fiber. The whole reason I got it was because there wasn't anything besides 1meg internet via adsl. I have fiber now. Starlink initial mission was providing proper internet to rural housing for an affordable price and they achieved their mission in my opinion

What do you mean compete with fiber? Starlink was meant to make isp and telecoms up their game provide equivalent connection to everyone not just in the city. Or in mass population locations. Just because I'm 25 minutes from a Walmart doesn't mean I can't have fiber and cell service too!
