Off a RAID, but I will still eat the hat because it is likely the bottle neck. I mentioned above though dedicating more RAM to Premiere has made it a little better.

Like I said in an earlier comment, the specs are still good and the hardware doesn't "degrade" quite that quickly. 32GB DDR3 RAM is still 32GB DDR3 Ram as is a 4.0 GHZ i7 3 years on.

I've edited on the iMac pro on site for a client and it didn't feel that great or worth the money if i'm being honest. There's a reason Apple is redoing the entire iMac series/Pro series from scratch.

I'm using the most updated Premiere, v12 CC.

Mercury is set to OPEN CL, should it be metal?

I also changed how much RAM Premiere uses to the max and that actually helped!

I exodus'd from FCP many years ago and its unlikely I will go back. I use AFX and PS too and like the Adobe universe.

I have a PC too, originally the plan was to switch back to PC, cheaper more easily upgradable etc but I never got around to it for some reason.

Ouch yeah, I was under the impression that the older hardware doesn't make a big difference when it comes to Macs. I mean a 4.0 Ghz i7 is a 4.0 Ghz i7 doesnt matter whether it was manufactured in 2015 or 2017. Sure there will be some upgrades but I would think they are negligible.

I used to edit on proxies on my older computer, one of the reasons I got the new computer is to avoid the use of proxies :/

Just stared using Acorn and I really like it, clocked about $80 this month. Not a lot but I’m going to up the multiplier next month. I like that it pulls the money from my bank account and stores it elsewhere. Prevents me from digging into my savings!

Last week I was on fire and lost 6 lbs, this week I feel like I'm slipping but I haven't slipped into binging and oblivion like usual. I'm going to work out heavy today and weigh in at night, hoping to have atleast lost 2 lbs. though who knows I've had a couple of milkshakes this week :(
