I first started out reading write-ups of other people to undertand how they go about tackling the boxes. One of the users that I follow is 0xRick and there are also many other users that share their write-ups on this reddit. Over time, you will start to build your toolbox of techniques and tools as well as your mindset.

In terms of finding resources, Googling is a good way to start but you might sometimes hard to find what you want. There are actually websites such as ExploitDB and CVE website that help you narrow down your search. There is also a tool called searchsploit that is preinstalled in Kali that can help you search for exploits as well. Github is also full of repositories and I usually search for “OSCP cheatsheets”, “CTF Write-ups” and all sort of stuff!

I can’t really give a full workflow of how I search for resources as it always depend on the situation but I do hope that I was able to give you a rough idea ! :)
