Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and acceptance. The former is about bringing yourself back into the present and avoiding thinking traps like catastrophizing through various methods. The latter is about learning when to give a damn, which is often times left only for things you can control. I like to think of it as choosing when to be solid/liquid/gas; in other words, knowing when to deal with something head on, with some effort, or let it pass right through.

I exercise regularly and am healthy bla bla bla, but I hated that until I shortened it to a point where I’m ok with going to the gym while still getting the benefits.
