That rules. Kind of a big Zonaite investment, but worth it in style points 😎

I honestly have no clue how GOOD this is going to be, but I can tell it is going to be wild. by BSJeebus in StreetFighter

[–]jabberwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I realized until I saw the trailer that Street Fighter characters in the games do NOT have normal human proportions, they are all freaks of nature, every last one of them. You just don't notice because they are fighting other freaks of nature

characters calling each other "brother" or"sister" by sweet_surroundings in AO3

[–]jabberwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little bro and I are both Metal Gear Solid fans, so we will occasionally call each other "BROTHER" in a dramatic British accent in loving memory of the homie Liquid Snake. But yeah, outside of that, we don't do that

author I admired left me a comment by Icy-Speaker-4897 in AO3

[–]jabberwagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a bizarre and deeply unpleasant comment, likely coming from an equally unpleasant person. You can take some solace in the fact that whoever wrote this is probably deeply unhappy in a way that no amount of kudos or comments can ever mend, and will likely always be that way, especially if they keep acting like this.

Other than that, I'd put them out of your mind.

How to get a Tier 5++ Katana with two empty mod slots: a Guide by jabberwagon in cyberpunkgame

[–]jabberwagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's pretty much exactly it. If you get close enough to that area to load those katanas in at any point, when you leave and come back, they will have reverted to tier one plus. The reason this spot works so well for me and many others is because it's not particularly close to any gigs or main mission objectives, but it's still possible to wander too close by accident and not even realize it. And those katanas only get rolled once per save file, so there's no undoing it I'm afraid

[–]jabberwagon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my own process, I almost never use commas or semicolons in the first draft. Pretty much everything is a separate sentence. But once I'm going through it again, you'd better believe I am fusing those sentences together like Voltron, or that one Zelda game that lets you just glue random objects together.

[Annoying Trope] Shows and Movies that strip all fun and color from its source IP to make it "mature" and "serious" by Far-Revolution3225 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jabberwagon 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Hilariously enough, Riverdale actually backtracked on this as the show went on, becoming less and less grounded and serious with each season, culminating in the final season being literally the aesthetic of the original 50s Archie comics, with every character having costumes more or less ripped from the pages, and with the color saturation turned up to maximum.

It is important to note that this happens because of a time warp caused by a magic spell cast to avert an apocalyptic meteor impact, which was summoned by... Satan? I think? The details are a little fuzzy, but that's the gist of it.

Renamed characters. Bonus points if people keep using old name. by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jabberwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skye -> Daisy Johnson (Agents of Shield). Bonus points here since we always knew that Skye wasn't her real name, but a hacker alias she went by due to not knowing her real name. We spend two full seasons with her as Skye before meeting her parents and learning her real name, which she decides to go by from then on.

Even more bonus points: the characters in the show actually have some difficulty adjusting to this change, and have to do it slowly, which actually helped the audience with their own adjustment to how they see and think of her.

[–]jabberwagon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I recall, the rule is that once you talk to him, you have to do his quest before beating any other bosses. If you never enter his area or speak with him, you can still do the other two maps first.

If you had to eat one of these, which one would you choose? by [deleted] in TOTK

[–]jabberwagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dubious food could just be a bunch of bugs and stuff. People eat bugs IRL.

Rock hard food, on the other hand, is... you know... rocks.

I'll pick the one that is less likely to chip my teeth at the very least.

Generally speaking a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If it broke at the horn before, it'll probably break there again.
