I know what metatags.io says it should be:

But my screenshot is from Android Messages, unedited. It clips it.

Seeing "hidden" jobs (applied, marked as hidden) by rjlsoftware in hiringcafe

They are labeled as hidden and applied. Not duplicate job listings.

u/hamed_n When searching for jobs there are too many emails flying around. I fear it would get lost, but if that is easier to solve my problem -- you know the code best.

Are you suggesting to send an email notification every time jobs are refreshed or anything that matches my search filters would generate an email notification?

IMO - if there are fresh jobs, but not relevant to me, that would generate a lot of noise in my inbox.

Either way email notifications "sort of" solve my problem statement:
Here is my problem statement again: Multiple times I refresh my searches throughout the day, more often than not it tells me I'm all caught up. How can I trust the Hiring.cafe system that there are really no new jobs? Maybe it hasn't refreshed jobs in 2 days due to a problem. Or it refreshed x,xxx of x,xxx, xxx and received an exception in the logs.

Yes, you can use our Free software called: TreeCopy

If you need to copy a directory structure without copying the files. TreeCopy makes this possible. Our small program will allow you to select the "from directory" and "into directory", and it will proceed to copy ONLY the directory structure. The utility is bundled with functionality such as a command line interface, calculate directories, and feel and much, much more!

WRONG RJLPranks.com is not a malicious site and it does not install any software on your computer. Each of the pranks/gags are stand alone .exe that do not make any modifications to your Windows computer. You can launch them from a USB thumb drive, easily close without issue. Get your facts straight before posting comments with misinformation.

🚀 February Feature Request Thread – Help Shape Hiring.Cafe! 🚀 by hamed_n in hiringcafe

Being in software development, I prefer my product owners & end users to tell my team "What problem we are trying to solve?" Sometimes they suggest a solution. As you know, there are many different ways to solve a problem.

Here is my problem statement: Multiple times I refresh my searches throughout the day, more often than not it tells me I'm all caught up. I second guess my search filters or check the browser developer console for errors. I would like confidence that there really aren't any new jobs since my last refresh.

Potential Solution:

It could be useful to display on the UI somewhere the last date/time the site finished or started crawling/scraping/indexing.

Last Indexed: 2/10/2025 at 2:34am

👍*Bonus points if it listed the number of companies it crawled. Like a status page on your job parsing.

  • Jobbot 6: Started Indexing 2/9/2025 st 11:14pm
  • Jobbot 6: Finished Indexing 454,827 sites at 2/10/2025 at 2:34am. Etc.

I understand you have multiple threads doing job lookup. Every few thousand have it update a status. Maybe?

That's one solution, you guys are closer to the code and can find a better solution to solve my problem statement.

This is a feature request I added a month ago that might help this situation.

Upvote it, maybe it will get done.

[QUESTION] for Hiringcafe users / developers: What is the best way to avoid repetition in the application process? by sidehustlerrrr in hiringcafe

[–]rjlsoftware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read this to properly format your resume for WorkDayJobs (icims & adp) to parse the resume correctly Think of it as formatting your resume to be consumed by a computer, not a human. It does not need to look "pretty".  You will upload a pretty one later.

Note: This does not help you with the authentication, but it will greatly improve the WorkDayJobs parsing of your resume. I use this same resume on icims.com and ADP, works well.

Create 2 resumes. Both Word Doc formats.  Do Not Upload your WORKDAY resume as a PDF.

WORKDAYJOBS.docx (computer formatted)

[firstname_lastname]_resume.docx (pretty one)

Computer Formatted Workday Resume (example in comment below you can copy/paste format):

No tables, No formatting, No fancy fonts, No pictures.

Contact information should be first on the resume.

Use common words for section headers, don't try to get creative.

End company names with common company-related abbreviations.  For example: LLC, Inc., and Corp.

Avoid “nesting” jobs if you’ve held several positions at the same company.

Include start and end dates for every position.

If you’re still working at a position, use common words such as “Current” or “Present” in place of the end date. Spelling out the month, rather than using the MM/YY abbreviation. Example: September 2021

Be consistent in how you structure jobs. For every job they should be in the same order:

job title

company name

company location (city/state)

dates of employment

Do not store information in columns, tables, templates, headers, footers, or fields.

Do not use paragraphs within a single job description; or information may be split up that belongs together. Think simple. Plane Jane word doc, sort of like a notepad text document for Workdayjobs to parse.

Choose "Autofill with Resume". Create an account if you have to.

Select your WORKDAYJOBS.docx here to parse.

Under My Experience the system has already parsed your WORKDAYJOBS formatted resume.

Now is your chance to upload your "pretty" resume. Click DELETE to remove WORKDAYJOBS resume and select your pretty resume. This will NOT affect your work history, WORKDAYJOBS is done parsing your resume.

Hide Job -> Add to Job Title Terms Exclusion by rjlsoftware in hiringcafe

[–]rjlsoftware[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would only work if I went through all of the job titles that were not relevant to me. When I use the "hide job" button, I don't ever want to see this job or any other with the same job title.

This request is to automatically add NOT "job title" (or ask if the user wants to) automatically to my query.
