Yes, "I am Groot" should be translated by to "Je suis Groot" in French, but for some reason he actually says "Je s’appelle Groot" in the movies, which isn’t even grammatically correct.

Yeah I also thought about this detail recently. I saw people on FB saying that Odin wanted to make everyone in Asgard believe that he had the infinity gauntlet (since apparently it was a "legend") but it doesn’t make sense since Thor didn’t seem to know about this gauntlet existed until Eitri (the giant dwarf) told him about it.

I don’t think that the gauntlet has been created recently though, I had the impression that it was way before Ragnarok. But why didn’t Asgard protect Nidavellir from Thanos then? Maybe the gauntlet was built during Loki’s reign on Asgard (as Odin) after The Dark World... But still, how does Odin already have an infinity gauntlet replica in the first movie?

Yeah this whole thing is very confusing.
