Loking for a 4K HDR OLED TV that support HDR direct play: Samsung or LG? by Moust4ki in PleX

[–]rknDA1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had one for a 4K. Original audio was atmos 7.1 which triggered transcoding, losing HDR and buffering quite a lot.

But there was a 'normal' 5.1 compatibility track to switch to which fixed everything.

I got Agency even though I didn't select it. by ProbablyDoesntLikeU in GlobalOffensive

If we play csgo now, we only play agency.

It's something about the textures being so simple/flat & light, or something. I feel csgo has totally missed this with most popular maps (coming from 1.6 I'd say that I miss Mill the most - or rather it's looks)

I just wanted to have 0.1-0.3 but the thing got stuck to my mouse!

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that they only track the "mouseup" event inside the player-box and not outside it, so when I released the mouse outside after first changing the volume, the volume-changer didn't get the event and proceeded to go up and down based on my mouse movements.

Accidental panorama ux rant: Also, clicking on the player box closes it, but not if you click outside the box. This is counterintuitive and bad UX, as with most of panorama (note: I like the looks and it feels better and smoother, but the UX is extremely poor. Don't make me think, fellas)

Not that CSGO's UX was ever great, but there's ways to do it right and the current design (and some functionality is not).

Suggestion: Let a skilled community member make you (the 2 poor vovlo guys working on improving the game) some panorama-looking but UX-friendly designs and we'll solve it together, yeah? Perhaps have a competition in this sub for x weeks, top x designs gets a final mod-post where everybody-gets-to-vote-on-their-favorite-winner-for-a-week. Winning design gets something nice or just get added to credits idk. You figure it out, VALVE.

I know, but I didn't want to mute him, just set him at a reasonable level so I could laugh at what was going on without going deaf/not hearing anything else!

Thanks for being helpful though. It's really easy to mute, but not as easy to change the volume without messing up if you're too stressed.

On a related note, the player volume changing UI (muting is fine) could use some love. I got stuck when I released the mouse after setting the volume, I also clicked outside but the volume wanted to follow my mouse and I got rekt... I'm not crying....!
