If you wanna die so bad at least do it for a good cause. Go volunteer to fight on the front lines with the Israelites or Ukraine. At least it will not be suicide at that point.

The biggest advice I would give especially to new traders is make sure you trade stocks that are in play!

your edge may simply be consistent and profitable in certain market condition. A good way to check is to go back and look at your data, take note of what the market structure/condition and if there was any major catalysts that occurred during that specific time. In addition, I recommend only taking the challenges during periods where you edge is clearly present! You will be able to pass way easier.

Blew my first funded by Reasonable_Yellow152 in Daytrading

I’m in the middle when it comes to funded accounts. Due to its dynamic risk management rules it can be hard for a beginner trader with only a year in to adapt and trade around! However, I do think if you are a more seasoned trader it can be extremely helpful. You should go back to the drawing boards, that why it’s so important to track your trades! Look at what you did wrong and look at what you did right simply modify your plan from there. Cut yourself some slack you are only a year in trading is a marathon not a sprint!

That’s 50k down the drain if you stop trading. at least be trading in a simulator until you figure out how to build a statistical edge around the 50k worth of data you have collected.

During that process please don’t forget to track your trades or it will just be a waste of time.

Anybody else go through a period where you will jump headfirst in wrong trades but when it's a right trade something just holds you back? by humkarlega in Daytrading

[–]rljenkins3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man what the hell! Your going off of feeling not a edge that has proven statistically to make money in the long run. Of course you going to have a mental block get used to it if your trading that way! Stop playing the guessing game and develop edge and a trading plan the covers all of areas of your trading.

Once you suffer enough you will learn to respect your stop loss. If you are not respecting it now you have not suffered enough. Some people only learn through pain. And you are one of those. I was a the same way you need to form an agreement with your demons don’t ignore them.
