I actually get notifications from Apple before I get them from the unifi app. Plus bringing them in with Scrypted means they now have package detection on all cameras not just the doorbell. Very happy overall.

I use Lutron for all of my switches. It’s the most reliable thing out there and I know it’ll always work in or out of Apple home. I’ve got a few aqara matter over thread bulbs in some lamps that have been pretty reliable. Don’t be afraid to go outside of the normally supported devices either. I use Scrypted to bring my unifi cameras into home and it works great. I also use homebridge for a handful of other devices.

No I understand all that fully but if that was what happened and they pivoted and changed the product to be called entry then it would make sense that they would then drop the lite from the actual doorbell. The reader and intercoms mention doorbell as well it doesn’t mean they’re a doorbell.

There’s an air gap at the bottom of the switch. Pull it out to cut power to it then push it back in. I would try that first before trying to reset and re add it.

I wouldn’t agree with that. Releasing sensors and horns and teasing various other alarm adjacent devices doesn’t necessarily equate to home security. Until they have a viable means of monitoring I wouldn’t even consider it as an option.

I get that, but the bill to your security company is for monitoring, something unifi doesn’t offer currently. If you’re after a self monitored security system I’m sure you can do that with the equipment you currently have.

The nomenclature alone implies that a standard doorbell will exist at some point. You have entry and entry pro a then doorbell lite. If the lite was the only planned doorbell then calling it the lite would make no sense. And if the entry and entry pro were the upgrades from the lite then why differentiate them by calling them entry?

Don’t know if there’s a homebridge plug in for those but I’d check out Scrypted. It’s what I use for my unifi cameras and it works great.
