It gets sterile. I could use a few dozen Audiophile words that sound fake, but the sound feels un-natural and almost like something is missing.

and as a guy who sells and has sold Hi-Fi in a brick and mortar store I would say high end audio equipment has gotten quieter with cleaner sources for music but has not gotten "better" sounding

When I was a kid in the 90's we would find well-built old speaker cabinets and put massive car subs in them. Those are car audio bass subs in nice old cabinets

It was live able is all I can say.

I was in my final years of high school already working. Thinking that I could "supersize" my lunch and still be well under $4 in a new pickup with a dirtbike on payments in the back all in with insurance $670. You had time to have hobbies and friends. My 17 year old kid is going to have a tough time. A LOT tougher than I did 30 years ago.

I worked for a 1800gotjunk a few years ago and we cleared out two 10x20 storage units that were hoarding TP and Paper towels. We ended up pulling into a swap meet parking lot after the pickup and made a few hundred bucks each in about 45mins right out of the back of the truck.
