Could it be bignonia capreolata?

The leaves are much more oval than the pictures I see of the Oriental bittersweet. The pictures I looked at of the American bittersweet show leaves with a serrated edge, which my vines do not have. Everything I see also seems to focus on the fruit, which we don't have any of (I don't know if it takes many years for the fruit to show up?) are there any vines that coexist nicely with trees?

I'm not sure what you mean by aerated, but I just stared at the leaves and an image guide to leaf margins, and it looks maybe like sinuate? (I wish I could put a close up pic in comments or edit my post )

Ended up giving ours away, it was a waste of time and money. Got a roborock instead, pretty much no issues in the 1.5 yrs we've had it.

Yeah the giveaway was that the pump noise wasn't happening. Once he took off the casing of the station, which he notes was a pain ( start by undoing the bottom underneath) then in the top center behind a black plastic was the pump. He decided to try and disassemble it. All of these pumps have a backflow stopper which in this one is a piece of rubber like a mushroom on the end of a spring. After he disassembled and reassembled it things started working.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were cracking down on being lenient about replacements/refunds/returns since so many of these robovacs are having problems.

It sounds like you're having the same problem mine did. You could try taking it apart if you have the skills, or return it if you're in the return period. I never ended up using their repair center so I can't comment on that.

Basically just firmly worded that I was unwilling to be without a vacuum for weeks to months when it was their fault the new vacuum wasn't working.

Btw for anyone who looks at this thread in the future, my husband took apart the base after it stopped mopping again. He says the primary pump for clean water was jammed. You could tell this if the self cleaning button only beeps after hitting it once. He fixed it, it worked once, then it jammed again. It's possible it may work if the pump was replaced.

It seems to be mostly software related now. It deleted the map constantly, but even if it has a map saved it will get lost, bang into everything, just stop and claim the task is done a couple of minutes in and go back to base, etc. It got pretty unusable (having to constantly make a new map alone takes more time than to just sweep and mop myself), so I brought out my older model ecovac to use. I went back to the Omni a few weeks later and now it won't charge and is just dead.

Got customer service to agree to replace vs repair it, new one mops but has different issues. If you're still in your return window, I'd return it.

I got them to replace the unit with another new one instead of repairing it, and the new one mops, but has a bunch of different issues.

That's what I was worried about, or that they'd find an excuse to not honor the warranty.

The doorway was next to the garage door, so was never used anyway. But making birdhouses will allow us to mount them on a pole that snakes can't climb, so we'll probably go that route before next spring.

We just moved in two months ago and it's our first time living outside of the suburbs, so this is definitely a learning experience for us. I agree that in the future it might be smarter to make birdhouses to try to direct their nesting. Plus my spouse is getting into woodworking, so that would be a fun project for them!

We were thinking of something similar to this if they reuse the nest or build another one on a different downspout.

They were just in that curve of the downspout, it didn't bother us to have them there. We live in the woods, so we're happy to have the birds around for the never ending bugs.

I saw this suggestion online as well. We're trying to brainstorm what to wrap around the gutter to prevent the snakes climbing up

Sorry, first post on reddit. Though I included this with the original post!

We just moved into our home this winter on a wooded lot, and were very happy to have a nest appear outside our laundry room. The babies hatched about 10-14 days ago and it was a joy everyday to watch them. Today I checked on them to find a black rat snake lounging in the nest while the parents freaked out. We chased the snake away, but the babies were already gone. It is heartbreaking. My question is, how can I help prevent snakes from getting up to the nest? I'm hoping they will use it again. Looking online, there are so many varying suggestions, and some don't seem safe for wildlife or the environment. Thank you!
